Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 Depending on Experience

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday

Duties

Responsible for timely and accurate purchase order generation and submission to suppliers/vendors through established purchasing policies and procedures
Monitor and control the execution of all Purchase Orders ensuring on-time delivery is met and consistently follow up on status of purchase orders, .
Must be able to handle multiple purchase orders, vendors, inventory entry at once – multitasking is a key employment trait needed
Understand how to work with freight companies, UPS, FedEx, local couriers
Facilitate resolution of any procurement or shipping issues with suppliers/vendors.
Update inventory in a timely fashion when receiving information is provided regarding product arrival into warehouse
Work with suppliers to coordinate product warranty and return requests
Responsible for maintaining inventory levels for internal and external customers, follow up on inventory questions and inventories without being asked
Qualifications

Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
Strong background in purchasing and procurement processes
Must be Internet savvy, able to learn the Company’s customized electronic inventory, distribution and purchasing INFOR system.
Strong attention to detail and well-organized
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a team player, willing pitch in and help others in the office
