Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Propane Service Technician/LPG Technician to join our dedicated team, responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional service cargo tanks/trailers for commercial, and industrial clients. This role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting the systems and appliances, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with repair, and a proactive approach to customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, technical expertise, and customer satisfaction are paramount.

You will need your own tools for this position.

1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm with minimal over time.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, and service propane systems and appliances across various settings, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems including cargo tank/trailers and related equipment.
Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
Trouble-shooting to determine appropriate method to repair or replace defective equipment.
Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation for all performed tasks.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all phases of service work to prevent hazards or accidents.
Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring construction experience or specialized mechanical skills.
Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the team.
Perform repairs on valving, piping, equipment and controls.
Operate various testing equipment according to Company standards on
piping systems, venting systems and other related functions on LPG tank trucks.
Assist with inventory management of tools, parts, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supplies.
Performs pressure testing on tanks following established procedures on filling, sealing, draining and drying.
Checks, inspects, and reports to supervisor regarding conditions on: Tank and Nozzle Conditions, Piping Valves, Vents Controls, Control Systems Sub-frames Tires, brake systems Ladder, walkways Fender, mud flaps, Hydraulic systems, Logos - decals
Experience

Proven service technician experience with a focus on mechanical repair and mechanical systems maintenance.
Strong Math and measurement skills
Strong knowledge of cargo tanks and cargo trailers
Familiarity with construction processes related to mechanical system setup or upgrades.
Hands-on experience with equipment repair and maintenance operations in diverse settings.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in guiding junior technicians or team members.
Knowledge of safety standards related to propane handling and mechanical system servicing.
Prior experience working with MRO supplies or managing maintenance workflows is advantageous.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operational instructions accurately.
